About Nourrice
Nourrice Crèche & Nourrice Preschool Montessori Centre was established in 2001 by proprietor Gillian Murphy.
The building is a beautiful house nestled in 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens. It is entirely given to childcare with lots of natural light and low windows throughout. The gardens offer a myriad of play surfaces and opportunities for exploration.
Having secured this unique setting, Gillian and her team set about creating an Early Years Setting which promotes self esteem, learning and respect for each other in a warm, caring environment.
Nourrice Creche focuses on creating a calm atmosphere in which children can rest and play as they wish and providing tender care that is tailored to each individual child.
Our Preschool Montessori Rooms are also based on these principles with child led educational programmes based primarily on the Montessori method of education, incorporating elements of High Scope and Aistear also.
The provision of quality nutrition is another key element of our approach. We are constantly reviewing and changing our menu to ensure that the very specific nutritional needs of babies and pre school children are met.
Nourrice is fully registered with Tusla and complies with the Childcare Pre-School Services Regulations, 1996, 1997 and 2006 Amendments.
We operate an open door policy to both the parents of the children who attend Nourrice and also the relevant bodies who regulate the Early Years sector.
Safety
The safety of the children attending Nourrice is paramount. Parents and staff enter using individual codes on our door and our outdoor areas also have coded access.
There is a CCTV system in operation at Nourrice, with cameras centrally monitored. The cameras are on all external doors, in every room and on our outdoor areas.
