Our Team
It is the people that make a Crèche special, and Nourrice has a wonderful team of highly qualified Early Years professionals. Six of the team have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education. All team members have a minimum FETAC Level 5 with paediatric first aid.
The consistency in the team is a major contributor to our success as we can establish a genuine rapport with every child and family over time. Eight team members have been with us for more than 10 years.
Meet Some of The Team
Gillian Murphy – Managing Director
Qualifications
- BA (Hon) in Business & French
- Diploma in Montessori Education
- Nursery Nursing
Having completed my degree I went on to work in business while completing a Nursery Nursing & Montessori diploma by night. At this stage I realised that a strong desire within me would be unfulfilled if I did not work with children in some way.
I transferred into Early Years Education with a job in The Park Academy, Dublin in 1998. I gained invaluable experience in the operation of a quality childcare facility.
In 2001 I moved to Wexford and established Nourrice Creche & Nourrice preschool Montessori Centre. It has been the most wonderful journey thus far. The team that work with me are amazing. They are so dedicated and great fun. I enjoy every aspect of managing my crèche. There is something different everyday. It is very sociable and the constant progression of the service to enhance the experience of the families attending is so exciting.
Elaine Ryan – Creche Manager
Qualifications
- Diploma in Montessori Education
- Certificate in Childcare Fetac Level 5
I have been working in Nourrice since it was established in 2001. My first position in the crèche was as Montessori teacher. As the crèche developed I progressed to Manager. I really enjoy my role as manager of such a well established crèche in Wexford. My job satisfaction comes from knowing that the children who attend Nourrice experience a caring and nurturing environment where they can grow and develop at their own pace. We have worked hard over the years to get the crèche to where it is today and we would not have achieved this without the hard work and dedication of such a great team. I love meeting the children & parents who come to Nourrice every day and getting to know them. I could not imagine myself being part of a better Early Years team.
Sadie Larkin – Babaland / Assistant Manager
Qualifications
- Certificate in Childcare Fetac Level 5
I have been working in Nourrice since 2004. I love working in Nourrice as I feel very passionate about working with children. It is so rewarding watching them develop and knowing that the level of attention to detail in the care here contributes to this development. Over the years I have formed many wonderful relationships with the children and parents. I also love that the staff here in Nourrice work as a team. On a personal level I feel that I have gained invaluable knowledge and confidence over the years and for this I would like thank Nourrice.
Cristine Flood – Babaland / Area Supervisor
Qualifications
- BA (Hon) Degree in Early Childhood Studies
- Certificate in Family Law
I’ve worked in Nourrice since 2008. Each day in the Baby room is different. That’s what makes my job so challenging, rewarding & exciting. I get to see each baby grow and develop through the activities we do every day- music, painting, sensory and physical play and to watch them continue up through the different stages in the crèche. I have spent time working in various rooms from Babaland to Discovery Drive. This experience has given me knowledge and confidence which has helped me in my work.
One of the best things about working in Nourrice is the sense of team spirit among staff. There is always someone to call on if you need help or ideas. A warm friendly atmosphere greets you each morning when you enter and it's what brings staff, parents and most importantly, the children back day after day, with a smile on their face!!

I have been working at Nourrice since 2009 and it has been a great experience. I work with the Wobblers so needless to say we’re an energetic bunch of people and always on the go doing lots of activities from art to messy play to circle time.
Nourrice is a great setting for the children with a fantastic outdoor environment which cater for sand, water & messy play which my group love.
Another major bonus of working at Nourrice is that I am part of a wonderful team of Early Years professionals, who have the children’s best interests at heart. I feel we are a part of helping them to grow and develop in a loving caring environment.
